Anna Houssels
Career Profile
Anna Houssels is an award-winning real estate professional and multi-billion dollar sales executive who has sold properties all over the world and for some of the world's wealthiest people for nearly twenty years. She holds four real estate licenses, encompassing three different countries: United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Australia (New South Wales) and the United States (California and Nevada).
A native Australian, Anna Houssels' professional career began at age 16 when she became the youngest ballerina ever accepted into the Australian Ballet Company, where she would perform as a principal ballerina for nearly a decade. During this time, Houssels also began her real estate career as an independent entrepreneur buying and selling . Following her retirement as a ballerina, she became the Vice President of Sponsorship and Marketing for the World Oceanman Series, a competition similar to Ironman. In this position, she was responsible for enormous business transactions, learning how to negotiate with high-powered individuals at Fortune 500 companies while brokering multi-million dollar sponsorships for the event.
The experience and connections formed through Oceanman would give her access to some of the highest net-worth individuals in the world, which she began to parlay into bigger and more impressive real estate transactions. She fully expanded that side of her business with the founding of Houssels Properties, Inc. in 2003, her own luxury real estate brand in California and Nevada. Not content with just her work as a real estate agent, however, she also maintained her career as a sales executive and became the Vice President of VIP Sales for the MGM-Mirage CityCenter in Las Vegas, Nevada, a $9.2 billion mixed-use urban complex that is the largest privately funded construction project in the history of the United States. She was personally responsible for $1.2 billion in residential sales for CityCenter and managed $2.8 billion in total residential sales over a 36-month period. Immediately following her work in Las Vegas, Houssels moved to Dubai to become the General Manager of Nakheel Corporation, overseeing the sale of $1 billion more real estate to many wealthy clients, including royalty.
For the last five years, she has worked as a real estate agent and auctioneer for Belle Property in Sydney, Australia along with her business partner, Brittany Hahn. The pair has seen great success in Australasia, a region that comprises Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea and the Pacific Island chain all the way up to China and Japan, for the last five years. They count among their clientele some of the wealthiest individuals from Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and many other countries around the world. For both 2014 and 2013, their two-person team was the Number 1 Sales Agent for all of Belle Property in Australasia. Together they have sold over $218M in the last 36 months, and were the number one female agents in 2012.
